We at Gold Partners are proud to announce the recent appointment of Larry Bell, M.D., as President, Regulatory, Quality, Safety and Risk Management Services. Larry joined our team at the beginning of January, 2009. With the addition of Dr. Bell to the management team, Gold Partners will be able to utilize Dr. Bell’s extensive drug development knowledge, as well as his practical and personal experiences in project lifecycle management, providing a unique force in developing pharmaceutical leadership.

It’s important for us to have a group that works well together and more importantly, likes to work together. Larry has been a leader in drug approval efforts at several major companies, and he knows how to develop and inspire a team. Gold Partners has worked with Larry, at many levels, over the past decade. With Dr. Bell on board we can more effectively develop a thorough assessment of clients’ goals combined with an understanding of the broader business needs to provide the best possible talent at the optimal time.

About Dr. Bell:
Prior to his position at Gold Partners as President, Regulatory, Quality, Safety and Risk Management Services, Dr. Bell has held positions of increasing areas of responsibility within the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he was Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management at GE HealthCare (GEHC), Medical Diagnostics. Previous executive experiences have included; Global Head and Sr. Vice President at Amgen, Inc. and Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs at Merck and Director, Clinical Research and Clinical Pharmacology at Bristol-Myers-Squibb Research Institute (BMSRI).

His areas of responsibility have included Global Head of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs, Global Safety, Epidemiology and Risk Management, QA & CMC, Medical Writing, Regulatory Intelligence, Labeling and Operations, Clinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology. He has also led successful product, departmental and company wide lifecycle management initiatives. Dr. Bell’s experience has successfully allowed for the management of departments of more than 600 people and budgets exceeding $100 million.

Larry has represented the industry as a RACC member for the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, he has been involved in filing over 100 INDs and been responsible for over 20 approved NDAs/sNDAs.

Dr. Bell has earned licensure and certification in Texas, California and Minnesota. He is board certified in internal medicine, and has held academic teaching positions and was Director of the Heart Disease Prevention Clinic and Co-Director of the Lipid Research Laboratory at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Bell has been a member of numerous professional societies such as the Drug Information Association, American Society for Clinical Trials, American Association for Clinical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, and the American Society of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition. He is published in numerous leading medical journals such as AJCN, JAMA, Practical Cardiology and the Society for Clinical Trials. Dr. Bell received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.
