Mark
Gold Founder and CEO
As one of the pioneers in clinical development and regulatory
executive search, Mark founded Gold Partners more than
25 years ago. The firm today is a leading pharmaceutical
executive search and consulting firm in the United States.
Gold Partners success relies on its specialized
focus working exclusively in clinical development
and regulatory affairs for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology
industries. Mark and his colleagues have successfully
placed more than 250 senior executives, researchers, clinical
investigators and related medical staff.
Mark has a BA in English from Syracuse University, and
an MS and ABD from SUNY. He also taught at SUNY, focusing
on the Psychology of Reading and Learning Theory and Behavior
Assessment.
Mark is the recipient of the coveted Outstanding Research
Award from the Educational Research Institute Clearinghouse
(ERIC) System.
Paul
Edgerton Chief Operating Officer
Paul Edgerton has over 30 years of experience in the Life
Sciences Industry. Since 1996, he has built a strong track
record in Executive Search, successfully completing hundreds
of retained search assignments for Life Science companies.
During the last three years he has had particular focus
in placing Vice President and Senior Directors in key
Research and Development roles.
From
1976 to 1996, Paul had increasingly responsible corporate
roles in Sales and Marketing Management, Operations and
Business Development, including 15 years with Becton Dickinson
(BD) and 5 years with mid-sized and early-stage companies
(Carl Zeiss, Air-Shields and Omni Rehab Systems).
Drawing
on his industry experience, Paul speaks on panels and
makes presentations to trade groups. He also provides
strategic and operational consulting services for clients.
Paul
earned his MBA from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Psychology
and M.S. (Health Education) from Cortland State University.
Jacob
Goldbas, JD - Vice President Client Services
Jacob
Goldbas has more than 10 years experience in executive
search. In 2003, he founded a specialist contingency search
firm focused on recruiting clinical research physicians
for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Jacob's background in intellectual property law gives
him a fresh approach to problem solving and he has developed
proprietary research methodologies which contribute to
his client's success. He has placed dozens of physicians
and recruited hundreds of candidates from industry and
academia.
Jacob has a BA degree in Political Science from Morehouse
College and a JD degree from Howard University School
of Law. Jacob is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania with
a specialization in intellectual property law.
